When twins Henry and Gala are kidnapped and their nanny killed, Lieutenant Eve Dallas steps in to take control. But video footage shows what appears to be their mother arriving and leaving with the obviously drugged seven-year-olds. Something is wrong, and Eve, her husband Roarke and her brilliant team are ready to work round the clock to get the children back alive...

My rating:

Two kids, twins, are kidnapped from their home in the middle of the night, as their nanny lies slain. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is tasked with finding the killer and kidnapper, but it looks like they're both the kids' mother.

An intriguing and intense little story with just a little pinch of "paranormal" to spice things up in a futuristic, and slightly twisted retelling of Hansel and Gretel.
It was short, so everything was packed up tight, but the pacing was good, the story flowed nicely, and the imminent danger was palpable.

Nice.
