My rating:

A dark and moody story of a woman's "journey through hell on her way to heaven". Sometimes such stories of abuse are tough to read, but Ms. Walker did a good job and not overdoing things, keeping it simple, yet important and poignant.

This was a nicely woven story of drama and darkness, torment, angst, romance, rekindled flames, and love, with a nice little suspenseful sub-plot thrown into the mix.
